Live-Streaming Guide

In our Veterans Virtual Tour, we ask and answer the question: How does a nation honor those who serve — and what stories do we choose to tell?

Beginning with the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War to the Korean War and present-day veterans, in this thoughtfully curated session, we share stories of veterans who have made an impact in unexpected ways.

Your team will learn about the incredible true story of James Armistead Lafayette, who served as a double agent during the Revolutionary War and gained his freedom as an enslaved person after the war due to his service. And, learn about Jan Scruggs and Diane Carlson Evans, two Vietnam veterans who led the fight to honor both men and women Vietnam veterans, leading to the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Vietnam Women’s Memorial.

This impactful session includes live-sightseeing in the National Mall to virtually stream some of the most important veterans memorials in the country, including the World War II Memorial, the DC War Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Attendees will also get a glimpse of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. Our engaging trivia sections honor other important monuments and memorials from around the country, including Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

This experience is available starting in November 2025 and will be available year-round in 2026.

Pricing ranges from $20-$56, depending on attendance. Lower pricing is for large groups over 60 attendees.

What team building activities are in this Veterans Virtual Tour?

The Veterans virtual team building event includes historically accurate stories about veterans who have served in the US armed forces, but is not about the US Armed forces. It’s about the people and how we support them when they return.

The core learner concepts embedded in this experience are recognition and inclusion.

What is the ROI for our company with this experience?

Our historians spend 400 hours each year on this event researching from many sources.

On the event, the guides share Indigenous history and culture from pre- colonialism to the present day. Your team will leave the event feeling inspired and encouraged to continue exploring untold narratives from different Indigenous communities.

Could we give a short introduction?

Corporate groups are welcome to provide a short introduction. We allocate about five minutes for opening remarks and our guides will cue your speaker during the introduction sequence.

Is this a politically learning event?

No, not at all.

This event is not about politics or even the armed forces. The Veterans Virtual Tour is about how we remember and honor veterans and support veterans.

The question isn’t if people should fight in war; people have answered the call of their government to fight. Now, how do we support these individuals when they return?

What history is in this experience?

The Veterans Virtual experience includes stories of how service began not just on the battlefield, but with ideals. We share the fight for pension benefits and the establishment of Memorial Day/Decoration Day and Armistice Day, which became Veterans Day. We also share stories of Veterans from the Revolutionary War, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

This event is not about politics or the armed forces. This Veterans Virtual Tour is about how we remember, honor, and support veterans who have served our country.

What do the live-streaming guides show?

The live-streaming guide shows veterans memorials and iconic locations around the National Mall, such as the Signer’s Memorial, World War II Meorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Women’s Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial.

Is the history accurate?

With three historians on staff, we ensure our history is accurate. Specifically, we use original source documents to research this event. For example, we use newspapers, diary entries, and more.

Booking the Veterans Virtual Event

When do we need to book the Veterans Virtual Tour?

We begin opening spots in September. With limited openings for November 2025, we recommend reserving your company’s spot early, as we expect this limited experience to sell out.

Starting in 2026, the Veterans Virtual Tour is available year round.

Are the guides on the Veterans virtual experience members of the armed forces?

Yes, we strongly believe that representation matters and we ensure that a veteran guide is leading this experience, along with allies as well.

Can you offer a shorter Veterans event?

No, it cannot be less than 60 minutes. With so many stories to tell, this could have easily been a two-hour experience! We make sure we leave time at the beginning or end of the experience for a representative from your team to do opening or closing remarks.
