What are Work Culture Facilitated Workshops?

90
Minutes

Countless
Opportunities for Growth

Live
Interactive Sessions

The Work Culture Facilitated Workshops will help your team understand how culture impacts your organization in a safe environment with seasoned facilitators. The goal is to help strengthen your organization’s work culture, by helping employees learn how to have productive conversations about hard topics.

Did you know that, in the United States, 50% of employees report feeling afraid to speak up in their organizations? This can lead to client errors and a toxic work culture. We are committed to helping your organization work through these issues.

Each training workshop includes unique and interesting real-world scenarios that are based on your organization’s core values. The goal after each 90-minute session is for your team to be able to think critically about how to apply the lessons to their personal and professional lives.

In addition, your team will be encouraged to participate live in both chat and on the microphone if they choose to. This is NOT a lecture. Instead, the interactive experience shares in-depth concepts and lessons necessary for fostering belonging in the workplace, and your team will participate in discussions and activities live.

Everyone is at a different place in their workplace culture journey. Give your team the opportunity to learn together and make a psychologically safe environment part of your organizational ecosystem. You’ll be setting your team up for success.

Each 90-minute session includes a 30-minute discovery call to learn about your company goals and customize the workshop.

The virtual workplace workshops encourage thoughtful mediator-led discussions between your team members.

Plus, the experience includes trivia questions and optional interactive elements- no forced participation!

Your team will love the unique training session that is led by live hosts and offers real-world, relevant scenarios!

What is the ROI for our company with the workplace culture workshops?

Our researchers and curriculum designers spend 100 hours each year on this event researching from many sources.

At the event, the hosts share real-world scenarios that offer multiple points of view, multiple outcomes, and will foster curiosity. Your team will leave the event feeling uplifted and encouraged to examine impact over intention.

Could we give a short introduction?

Corporate groups are welcome to provide a short introduction. We allocate up to five minutes for opening remarks and our guides will cue your speaker during the introduction sequence.

Is this an uplifting experience?

Yes, the Workplace Culture Workshops are an uplifting experience. Specifically, they encourage team bonding and communication, plus foster a cohesive and respectful workplace culture.

About the Virtual Workshops

Is this a workshop?

Yes, each Workplace Culture training workshop is facilitated by three experienced hosts. Each session is approachable enough so that teams can participate no matter how much experience someone has in their workplace culture dynamics.

We tailor the workshops to your organizational needs. Each workshop comes with a 30-minute discover call to learn more about your workplace culture.

What are the scenarios?

Each workshop has its own topic and in-depth scenarios.

For example, in the Defining Anti-Racism and the Allyship Continuum Workshop, first, we present the Allyship Continuum in reference to Frederick Douglass when he was an enslaved child. Then, we discuss the Allyship Continuum to Frederick Douglass as a free man living in England. Then, we discuss a mural of Frederick Douglass and the responses from the community and his descendants, all while encouraging your team to give their input and learn where on the continuum each scenario lands.

Each culture workshop can be done on its own, but we recommend pairing two workshops with an Unexpected Virtual Tour. For example, the Defining Anti-Racism and the Allyship Continuum is a perfect complement to Juneteenth: Emancipation, and we advise following it up with the Defining Racism and Discrimination Workshop. However, you can do them as standalone workshops!

Is the content triggering?

Triggers are unique to each individual, but while there will be discussions of hard topics like slavery, we design all our sessions to be uplifting and empowering. Additionally, we always ask for feedback from teams like yours to ensure there’s no harmful language as much as possible.

Do you have a sample training schedule that our team can do?

Yes! We have two built sample training plans for an entire year’s worth of culture and Heritage Month training that your team is welcome to choose from, or we can create a custom schedule for the training workshops to fit your team’s budget and goals. Reach out to speak to a member of our sales team by booking a meeting to discuss your team culture goals on our calendar here.

Booking a Workplace Culture Workshop

When do we need to book a Workplace Culture Workshop?

The workshops are available all year long.

Most training workshops are suitable to be standalone sessions but are built to complement a Virtual Tour or a second corresponding workshop.

For example, we recommend the Emotional Intelligence: Personal Competence workshop before the Emotional Intelligence: Social Competence Workshop.

Are there on-location guides for this session like the Virtual Tours?

No, there is not an on-location element for the Workplace Culture Workshops. However, more interaction is built into the Workplace Culture Workshops to encourage your team’s increased participation.

Do you have suggestions to enhance our facilitated workshops?

Absolutely! For a sample training plan, please reach out to learn more about pre-built itineraries to enhance the lessons for the workshops.
